About OCEAN

Oregon Coalition for Educating ANglers (OCEAN) was formed in Newport Oregon in 2005.

The original founders were recreational fishermen and fisherwomen that were active on the Salty Dogs area of the message board ifish.net.

These people had a passion for fishing an an interest in maintaining the opportunity for themselves and others to fish the Pacific ocean off the coast of Oregon, now and into the future.

Oregon Coalition for Educating ANglers (OCEAN) has the primary goal of supporting conservation of and research on marine fisheries, as well as sponsoring and promoting activities to assist in marine fisheries management.

OCEAN is a Non-Profit 501(c)(3) organization.
